Deal Dates

Terms of use

Short, because there is not much to say — and plain, because you should know what you are agreeing to before you connect an account. Last updated 24 September 2026.

1. Who this is between

Deal Dates is operated by Stante Real Estate Marketing, Inc., an Alberta corporation operating as Deal Dates, of Calgary, Alberta (“we”, “us”). By connecting a reZEN account, entering an API key, or asking us to set your team up, you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and, if you are a team lead, your team. If you do not accept them, do not connect.

Deal Dates is an independent tool. It is not a Real Broker product and is not endorsed by Real Broker, LLC. Your use of reZEN remains governed by your agreement with Real.

2. What the service is

Deal Dates reads the open transactions your reZEN account can already see and sends the people you choose a daily email — and, optionally, a calendar feed — of the condition, firm and closing dates on those deals, together with related items such as outstanding checklist documents and typed contract terms. It reads; it never writes to reZEN. What it reads, where it is kept and who can see it are set out in Privacy & data, which forms part of these terms.

3. What the service is not

Deal Dates is a reminder, not the source of truth. The dates it sends are the dates recorded in reZEN, read by software, and software is sometimes wrong: a date can be entered incorrectly at the source, a waiver notice can be misread, an amendment can be missed, an email can be delayed or filtered, and a service can be down. You remain responsible for every deadline on every transaction. Always confirm a deadline against the contract and the transaction record before acting or refraining from acting on it.

Nothing in a digest is legal, financial or professional advice. Deal Dates does not know your contract, your client or your obligations to them; it knows what reZEN shows it.

4. Who may use it

5. Your responsibilities

6. Price

If you were given a free place in the beta, it stays free. No card, no expiry, and nothing else in this section applies to you unless you ask us to move you onto a paid plan.

Otherwise Deal Dates is charged per team rather than per person: one price covers everyone who receives the digest, however many that is. Prices are in Canadian dollars and GST or HST is added at the rate for your province. You are shown the price, with the tax, before you agree to anything.

Paying yearly costs ten months rather than twelve. Billing starts on the day you subscribe, repeats on that date, and is always in advance. We never hold your card number: it is entered on a form belonging to Helcim, our payment processor, and stays with them — see Privacy & data.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the settings page, with no notice period and no fee. The digest continues to the end of the period you have already paid for and is not charged again. After that it pauses rather than stops: one short email still arrives each morning telling you how many dates your team has coming up, without the details, so you are never left guessing whether something is due. Nothing is deleted when you cancel — your data is removed under section 7 only when you end the service altogether.

If a payment fails we will tell the account holder, and the digest carries on in full for 14 days while you sort it out. If it still has not gone through by then it pauses in the same way as above, and comes back in full the moment a payment succeeds.

Changes. We will not begin charging anyone who is using Deal Dates for free, and will not change what an existing customer pays, without telling you at least 30 days beforehand in writing. You would be free to stop before then without paying anything. Nothing is ever charged without your express agreement.

7. Stopping, and your data

8. Availability and changes

We aim for the digest to arrive every morning, and we watch for the mornings it does not: the send is monitored from outside our own systems, so a missed run raises an alarm rather than waiting to be noticed by you. We still do not promise uninterrupted service — email can be delayed or filtered, reZEN can be unavailable, and machines fail. If you are paying for the service and it is substantially unavailable for a prolonged period, tell us and we will put it right.

The digest continues to develop: we may change how it works, what it includes and how it looks. We will not remove something you are paying for, or materially reduce what the digest tells you, without telling the account holder at least 30 days beforehand. Smaller changes — wording, layout, a new field, a fix — happen as they are ready.

We may also change these terms. Anything material gets the same 30 days' notice in writing to the account holder; corrections and clarifications take effect when they are published. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect is acceptance of it, and the date at the top tells you which version you are reading.

9. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows: the service is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind; we are not liable for any loss arising from a missed, wrong, late or absent date, or from any decision made or not made in reliance on a digest, calendar entry or settings page; and we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss, including lost commissions or a failed transaction. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in that period and CAD $100. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

These limits reflect what the service is and what it costs: a morning reminder — whether it costs you tens of dollars a month or, in the beta, nothing at all — cannot stand behind a transaction worth hundreds of thousands, and it does not pretend to. Every digest says as much at the foot of it: the dates are as recorded in Real Broker's reZEN system, and the contract is the source of truth.

The hundred-dollar floor is there because our early teams pay nothing: capping what we owe at what you paid would cap it at zero, and a cap of zero is not a limit on liability so much as the absence of one.

So the responsibility in section 3 is the one that matters most here. Deal Dates tells you what reZEN says; you remain responsible for every deadline on every transaction, and a date worth acting on is a date worth confirming against the contract.
